Contest Rules

 

 

A minimum $5 donation is required to enter the contest.  Current WRKF Sustaining Members are automatically entered into the drawing with no further donation required.

Submit entry starting at 12:01am on Monday, May 13 2013. Entry must be received no later than 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 15 2013.  All times are Central Time.

Contest is open to Louisiana residents 18 years of age and older.

WRKF employees and their families are not eligible to enter any contest conducted by WRKF.

Members of the Board of Directors of Public Radio, Inc. and their families are not eligible to enter any contest conducted by WRKF while in office.

 

 

One (1) tour for 2 of the new NPR Headquarters in Washington, DC.

 

 

 

From all entries, prizewinner will be chosen at random and announced on the air.  

Prizewinner may also be notified by phone and/or email.

Prizewinner need not listen or be present to win. WRKF is not responsible for any mechanical telephone error, failure or omission; lost or misdirected mail, faxes or e-mail; neglect on the part of the US Postal Service; or e-mail service disruption.

If prizewinner does not claim the prize within seven (7) business days after the winner is announced, that contestant will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected in order from the alternate entries drawn.

WRKF reserves the right at any time to award prize to another eligible prizewinner drawn at random in the event prize, for any reason, cannot be utilized by the original prizewinner or in the event the original prizewinner does not meet eligibility requirements. If a prizewinner fails to accept the prize for any reason, no make-good prize will be awarded nor will there be replacements for the forfeited prize.

All decisions of station management with regard to the awarding of prize, the selection of prizewinners and the interpretation of these rules are final. Each entrant, by virtue of entering the contest, agrees to accept the decision of the station as final. 

 

 

Prizewinner accepts responsibility for all taxes, tips and other liabilities. Prize is not transferable, assignable or redeemable for cash.

By entering, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless WRKF and Public Radio, Inc., including all officers, directors, employees, volunteers and sponsors from any and all liability, loss, damage or injury resulting from participation in WRKF’s "NPR Tour" promotion.

WRKF, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the WRKF website or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.

Right to Make Changes

 

WRKF reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.

Responsibilities

 

WRKF is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prize.

Copies of the written contest rules will be available up to 30 days after the end of the contest at www.wrkf.org. You may also receive the rules by mail by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to WRKF Contest Rules, 3050 Valley Creek Drive, Baton Rouge, LA, 70808.
