The proposal would have put a constitutional amendment to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act before voters in Louisiana.<br /><br />“You’ve got a lot of support here, Sen. Nevers," Heitmeier said.<br /><br />But Nevers didn’t have the support of the committee.
