Fall is for Planting Trees and Shrubs

A 3-foot wide hole with sloped sides and only as deep as the root ball is ready for planting this 3-gallon Florida Sugar Maple at Burden Center.

If you've ever visited a nursery in the spring on a weekend, you're bound to see the parking lot full of cars. Spring remains the prime season when gardeners head to the nurseries to purchase trees and shrubs. But spring is not really the best time to plant them.
