FRIDAY: Film Historian & Author Scott Eyman; Director Bernard Rose; Psychotherapist Leslie Todd

John Wayne was one of Hollywood's most famous actors and Scott Eyman joins Jim to discuss his latest biography John Wayne: The Life and Legend. Eyman's biography takes us from Wayne's early life as a football player at USC, to his first start in the film industry as an extra, and all the way through his life which included over 170 films.

Film Director Bernard Rose joins the show to discuss his latest film The Devil's Violist, about 19th century violinist and composer Niccolo Paganini who claimed he sold his soul to the devil to be able to play the violin. The film will be showing at the Louisiana International Film Festival, May 8-11 at the Cinemark in Perkins Rowe.

Leslie Todd, psychotherapist and family mediator, talks with Jim about her work around town including her her push for folks to mediate their disputes instead of litigate them. She also touches on the AFCC-LA (Association of Family and Conciliation Courts - Louisiana Chapter), an interdisciplinary non-profit association of judges, attorneys and mental health professionals working to improve family court.

Every weekday Jim engages listeners with compelling discussions ranging from presidential and gubernatorial campaigns to LSU football and the aftermath of disasters like Hurricane Isaac.
