This week we learned how the crossfire hurricane was born.

That’s the codename originally given to what’s commonly called the Mueller investigation into President Trump and alleged Russian meddling. Though … the president has another name for it.

The president’s choice of phrases took another turn this week, when he called some unauthorized immigrants “animals” during a roundtable discussion. He’s also been facing pushback on his immigration stance from the conservative Koch Brothers, who have recently praised Democrats’ work on immigration.

And while the president focuses on keeping people out of the country, fewer Americans are working on creating more people inside. The birth rate in the U.S. dropped to its lowest rate in 30 years.
