V. Important Updates For The Supreme Court

Can a warrant for emails from a U.S. law enforcement agency be executed if the emails are stored on a server in another country?

Should government workers who aren’t union members, but who benefit from the union’s negotiations, be compelled to pay union fees?

Do a credit card’s rules for merchants stifle competition?

Those are the questions the Supreme Court is weighing in on with three cases: United States v. Microsoft Corp., Janus v. American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, Council 31, and Ohio v. American Express Co..

And it’s a busy week for the Court, which recently declined to hear an appeal that kept the DACA program going.

We’ll get an update on warrants, credit cards, unions and DACA.
