coastal flood protection

Ann Marie Awad

Senator Mary Landrieu says a lawsuit against oil and gas companies is not the answer to renewing Louisiana’s gulf coast.

Jim talks with John Barry, author of the book "Rising Tide", about the great 1927 Mississippi River Flood. John was recently dismissed from his position on a levee board that filed suit against the oil & gas industry. Now he's formed his own group to support litigation against energy companies for the damage they've done along Louisiana's coast.

Joe Traigle joins Jim to talk about the new ordinance in Shreveport "Be Fair Shreveport" that protects against discrimination based on sexual orientation.
