With the gubernatorial election fast approaching, Louisiana Cultural Vistas Magazine wanted to get an informed opinion: what makes a good governor? We sat down with four-term Governor Edwin Edwards at his home in Gonzalez, Louisiana, and asked him for a job description.

In the annals of corrupt governors, former Virginia GOP Gov. Bob McDonnell's place remains to be seen.

He was indicted along with his wife Tuesday for allegedly taking illegal gifts, vacations and loans while in office, but the governor says he's innocent.
