Gardeners have become more environmentally conscious over the past few decades. They're employing more environmentally sound principles in the landscape, such as using less pesticide, composting more, and even installing rain gardens.

The Supertunia Vista Bubblegum Petunia is one of Louisiana's most durable petunia varieties and this year it's been designated an LSU AgCenter's superplant.

One of the most talked-about petunias in landscape gardening in recent years, the Supertunia Vista Bubblegum Petunia has been one of the best petunias in the landscape trials at LSU AgCenter's Hammond Research Station.

The Evolution Salvia is a cultivar of Mealycup Sage and it's been named a Louisiana Super Plant selection for spring of 2016.

It comes in two colors. Mealycup Sage is a native wildflower of Texas and it's well adapted to long hot summer weather. Evolution Salvia was chosen as a Super Plant selection because of the intense color of its flower spikes as well as excellent performance in trials at the Hammond research station.
